This treatment creates micro-injuries to the skin that stimulate the body’s natural wound healing capabilities while minimizing cellular damage. The result is effective remodeling of scar tissue, while keeping the overall structure of the skin intact.

There are 3 phases to the wound-repair process.

1. Inflammation
2. Proliferation
3. Remodeling

In the first phase, microneedling the skin triggers your immune system to disinfect the wounds, increase blood flow and begin to create new tissue. In the second phase, the wounds begin to rebuild with new granulation cells, which are part of the extracellular matrix, increasing collagen and elasticity. A new network of blood vessels develops. Finally, in the last phase, the wounds are healed with new dermal tissues and blood vessels.

Treatment length varies by client and also the area being treated, but the average session is 20 to 30 minutes. Including consultation and numbing, sessions may run 60 to 90 minutes.

We will apply topical numbing cream before the treatment to minimize pain and maximize comfort. We believe everyone has different pain tolerance but most of our clients report that there is no pain and they feel only the sight vibration during the procedure.

You may experience redness, peeling, swelling, irritation, bruising, and itching for 2 hours to 3 days following treatment.

For 24 hours following treatment:
Avoid makeup.
Do not use hydroquinone (it is the ingredient often used in skincare to brighten and whiten the skin).
Avoid swimming and vigorous exercise.
Avoid waxing and tanning booths for at least 2 to 3 weeks.
Do not use any other skincare product for 24 hours. Only use the one we provide.

The use of physical sunblock from the day following the treatment is important.

Every patient is unique but typically you can expect to see the result in as few as 3 treatments. It is possible to notice an improvement in your skin after just 1 treatment.

The required number of treatments varies by client, the area treated, and the goal. It is safe to repeat treatment every 30 days. It is possible to see improvement in your skin with the first treatment but for better results we recommend 3 to 6 treatments.

For scar reduction / stretch marks, once healed the result will be semi-permanent. For the best, long lasting results, maintain a lifestyle and good skincare routine.
